When I said we'd be going in a rabbit hole for a few weeks, you didn't think I'd be so literal, did you? I hope you'll indulge me in a dream sequence for a few weeks.

Just in case you didn't see the previous blog post, we're going to leave our normal Sunday release schedule for a while and be a bit erratic due to computer problems on my end. But this page came out just almost a week early, so it's not necessarily a bad thing! Watch the Facebook page or subscribe to the comic for updates.

Also, apologies to Man Morrow whose book "Modern Atheism" was included in the stack of books but accidentally got cut off in the margin and I never noticed until I was pretty committed to the artwork.

Now I need to make sure I read all those books!!! I am reading Carl Sagan's Demon Haunted World right now and it is refreshing and such a relevant read today given the anti-critical thought culture and government movements that threaten to totally engulf our nation. This page of Doubting Thomas is similarly relevant to help us understand the destructive forces i.e. lack of critical thought that is destroying our nation bit by bit. Thank you Cliff! As a critical thinker, atheist, and someone who suffers from mental illness, I do appreciate what you are doing. What a brilliant start to 2018 (despite the penis contest between Un and Trump:(....

Thank you, and happy New Year to you as well. You can't get better than A Demon Haunted World. That's one of my absolute favorites and I've listed to the audio version at least a dozen times and read it several times as well. "god is not Great" is my other favorite although some people have trouble getting around the force that was Hitchens, but Carl Sagan is more of a Mr. Rogers fellow so I think he's easier for the general person to embrace.

Although this page is somewhat surrealistic, I was trying to show the hurdles one must climb and the education one must receive to become an atheist after being born into indoctrination. I used the expression "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" the other day in a Facebook post, ironically of course because the hypothosis is a bunch of crap, but the fact that someone who used to believe that dinosaurs and humans walked the Earth at the same time could understand a phrase such as that let alone use it, makes me proud of my progress. (And thank you, Cara Santa Maria!)

But you nailed it with the critical thinking, and that's the emphasis we're going to focus on, though Trump and Kim Jong Un's cock waving definitely fits in well to my story sadly.
