Who else did you think would be at the door interrupting a profound dream?

I call this page, "Mormon Gothic".

What's that green stuff on everybody's faces, and... I think they use to wear only white shirts? I already noticed it on page 20... Ambient light containing too much green?

That's just my drawing style. Each character has a color palette associated with them where I start with a flat color and paint on top if it with partially transparent brushes. For Thomas it's a muted green, Perez is red, and Joe is yellow. I like to keep my brush strokes visible so it does, as you say, resemble ambient lighting of various colors. To visually represent Thomas' depression, I desaturate and darken his most of his pages, so that made the shirts come out as grayish green when they are in fact white.

I see, that's important to know. I just checked (because I didn't remember it), on the first few pages you seem to have used gray instead of green. ... the gray has worked better for me.

(I can't help it, it looks to me like everybody has snot on their faces. That was my first idea on page 20 and I thought it might be possible, with Thomas having fallen asleep on the floor.)

Thanks for the breakdown on your art style Cliff.
I appreciate you being open enough to ask your questions Rock.
I have run into Mormans going door to door in my area and it reminds me of my Peace Corps days hanging with the Elders who could not drink Coca-Cola or coffee.
Lastly, I thought it looked like American Gothic, but your comment confirmed it:).
