I love is easy and cheap to get, unlike Indica and Sativa, which is much easier on the liver, while providing an even broader range of comforting feelings, pain relief, anxiety relief, etc. I hope Thomas does not start cutting, but self-mutilation is something I've done and continue to do in smaller ways to cope with is addicting and sometimes unconscious to me. May Thomas find what he needs to get what he needs to be what he wants to be.

Alcohol has shown to have short term benefits to the depressed but far worse over the long-term. It's one of the most common ways to self-medicate, but I wonder if that would be true if people had cheap and easy access to other forms of therapy. Also, it often conflicts with pills as it's a depressant. I think I had a line somewhere in an earlier version of the script that had him wrestling with the idea that he had to stop drinking when he was on the pills. That mostly got dropped from the plot as much of the topic of alcoholism was moved to the character of Perez, but it's a topic constant to many people with depression. As for the cutting, you'll have to wait and see.
