Sorry to give you two memorial pages in a row, especially after such a long stretch without any. But what a hero and a tragic loss. I have deep respect for medics and that one so bold could be coldly assassinated like this is tragedy to us all.

Since you mentioned our species on the previous one: I don't like being a member of the species who shoot a nurse who is helping a person on the ground. Or rather: Are they in the same species where I am? I have little hope left for humanity but this is another level of crime.

It was interesting having these two memorial pages right next to each other. It's like on one hand we're capable of doing so much, reaching for the stars. But on the other hand we're often so unable to get beyond our animal instincts.

I feel like we were capable of doing incredible things at some time in the past. Even the "race to space" back then was "run" without involving violence - and now? The "development" is A SHAME!!! for crying out loud!

(And while I can still somewhat comprehend people killing each other out of desperation and fervor, a government & military that orders and executes the killing of a nurse should not exist. I'm German, I have felt that Germany still has some kind of responsibility for what the generation of my parents were involved in. But they are cold blooded murderers, they don't deserve any support anymore.

(It brings tears to my eyes thinking of "Nathan the Wise" - it was an idea of hope back then - these days, people would most likely laugh if a poet came up with something like that. Have we, as a species, really lost so much?)

Sorry. You can probably tell that I feel like punching things, too.
