Hmm, I found it a bit confusing...
In the upper part it's Rachael, after some pondering I concluded that the violet object is not a cell phone but a case for the badge that seems to defy gravity in the next panel, perhaps someone threw it, most likely Rachael, who is still hurt and bleeding.
And then she comes back from her "daydream". But how did she know that it's "her"? She wasn't there when "she" vanished, was she? Or does she mean something else?
I'd say that relatively much happened "between the pages" since the last 3 pages. This opens possibilities for the reader.

(Sorry (a little bit) for being so critical. The last 2 days were a bit strange which is my excuse for having drunk a good sip of vodka which in turn lowered my inhibitions.)

Sorry if they were confusing. To clarify: in the flashback, the purple case is a purple heart medal which is what soldiers get when they are wounded during military service, and she did throw it against the window and broke open her stitches in the process. I was trying to represent how Perez has been trying to not think about these events, which is why I showed her emotionless in the flashback--and never showed her in the scene where the purple heart was thrown--but the blood showed the painful consequences of her not thinking about these things. But perhaps I missed my mark :-)

As for the identification, Perez had briefly passed this woman and her son on the street right before she had disappeared so she'd seen her. That's also why I gave the woman colored hair, to make her even more noticeable to Perez. Also, I love colored hair on women...

Thanks as always for your comments, I really appreciate them!
